Topaz be a Siberian Husky, her thick coat was perfect for the up coming winter. The cold breeze didn't even both her as she made her way away from the dark forest and onto a dirt road leading to the city.Topaz wore no collar or anything to identify her as an owned dog.She wolf mother kicked her out of the lands she had growen to know so well.Out on her own now, she began to feel lonely and looked around for another dog to hopefully become friend with.
There were barks but to sign of any dogs. She didn't want to hunt any farmer's live stock for she knew they'd sure be after her.As dark storm clouds rolled in she looked around for shelter, but only found a hollow tree.Has the rain began to fall and the thunder struck. She run for the tree, inside wasn't much releaf,"It will do for now,"she whimpered and laied her head down, closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Kody hated getting dirty or wet and now she was both not to mention terrified. The puppy whimpered as thunder roared through the air. She yelped at the sudden loud noise and started running. She had never seen a thunder storm before, witch made this all the more frightening. Through the rain the little grey and white dog noticed a hollow tree she ran inside and ran right into Topaz. At the feel of another body she yelped again and huddled against the side of the tree. She closed her eyes tight, shaking “Mommy!” she yelled. She hadn’t seen her mother sense the humans took her from the rest of her litter and she knew she wouldn’t come but she called for her mother anyway.

Topaz jumped at the little pup,"I'm not you mother!,"she barked."Who, are you anyway?"she whimpered. She looked at the pup with her two-tone eyes;as the lightning struck she was able to see the pup the flash of light. The young pup didn't look like she hurt her, but she also didn't know if the hollow tree would be able to hold both of them through the storm.

Kody kept her eyes closed, this was the worst night of her life. Not only was she lost and soakig wet but she had run strait into some stranger's home in the middle of the night. "Im sorry!" she said. She looked up at the older dog and was only able to see her for a second when there was a flash of lightning.
"Im Kody, sorry I ran into your house Lady" she said in a quiet voice as she hesitantly stepped outside of the hollow tree. She didn't want any trouble she just wanted to be dry.

Topaz didn't like seeing pups cry or be wet, cold, and homeless. She signed,"Wait Kody maybe,we can work something out so you wont get wet.And besides this ain't my house it's a place I'm using for shelter. So, have just as much right to be here two."She smiles at the pup.She move over just enough to let the pup lay down.

Kody turned around feeling shy and nodded, her tail wagged slightly. "Ok, thanks" she said quietly. She crawled into the space Topaz had made for her. She curled into a tight ball and looked up at the husky "Whats your name?" she asked.

Topaz looked at the pup softly with her two-toned eyes,"My name is Topaz."Then she too layed her head down for the night. But ever time thunder roared her ears flinched. As the storm payed another day would await them.
